4.2 KG Liver Tumor Removed | 3-Hour Critical Operation

A senior dog, aged approximately 10 years, was brought into Malda Animal Care Unit in urgent need of medical attention. The dog had been suffering from a rapidly growing abdominal mass that caused pain, fatigue, and reduced mobility. Upon examination and diagnostic evaluation, our vet, Dr. Dipanjan, diagnosed it as a massive liver tumor weighing 4.2 kg.

This surgery was not only critical but also highly risky, due to the size, location, and age of the dog. The operation lasted more than 3 hours and required incredible skill, patience, and precision. We used our advanced Diathermy Electrocautery Machine to ensure controlled blood loss and accurate excision of the tumor — minimizing surgical risks.
